Essential Wedding Day Dance Wisdom

1. The 3-Second Rule After Entering

When your DJ announces you onto the floor, walk out hand-in-hand, face each other, establish your hold, and pause for 3 full seconds before moving. It lets the photographer frame you and immediately calms your heart rate.

3. Bustle & Train Physics

A 5-point French or American bustle changes how your skirt hangs. We teach leaders to step slightly wider than usual so their polished dress shoes never step onto the hem.

2. Wedding Shoe Rehearsal

New leather soles and satin wedding pumps are slippery on polished ballroom dance floors. Scuff the soles lightly with fine sandpaper, and practice at least two lessons in your actual wedding footwear.

4. Look At Each Other, Not Your Feet

Guests look at your radiant smiles and emotional connection, not your ankles. Trust the muscle memory you built in studio and keep your eyes locked on your partner.
